Is Beyonce The Best Female Artist of the Decade?
According to Billboard Beyoncé “Sasha Fierce” Knowles appears to be making a bigger gap between her and other artists this decade, making her the top female artist since the year 2000.
Despite the #1 single from artists like Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears and Rihanna, Beyoncé remains in the lead with a whopping 12 singles to make it to the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. The latest of her songs to make it there is “Halo” off of her album “I Am…Sasha Fierce.”
Though she may be the female artist of the decade will she catch up to Mariah Carey, who is the winner of the World Music Female Artist of the Millennium Award? Mariah has 18 #1 singles and 5 other singles to make it to the top 10. It’s very possible Beyoncé could catch up!
